I am trying to call the DBpedia Wiktionary SPARQL-Endpoint: http://wiktionary.dbpedia.org/sparql

Since two weeks I've tried to access the service, but it is not available:

"Service Temporarily Unavailable
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.
Apache/2.2.22 (Ubuntu) Server at wiktionary.dbpedia.org Port 80"

The SPARQL-Endpoint is from http://wiki.dbpedia.org/wiktionary-rdf-extraction the other Access URLs are also not working.

Thanks.

    Hi Sarah,

If you want to access wiktionary content, I suggest you using the DBnary dataset. The Wiktionary extract of DBpedia is now not maintained anymore and the DBnary dataset extracts data from 21 wiktionary language editions now.

It uses the Ontolex RDF vocabulary and is available as LOD with downloadable data, facetted browsing and SPARQL endpoint. Everything is described at http://kaiko.getalp.org/about-dbnary

The DBnary data is available since 2014 and synchronized with each wiktionary dump, more languages being maintained and more being added on demand depending on our available time. The extractors are open source and available (and waiting for contributions) on bitbucket.

Feel free to use it and ask me if any problem arises.

    Regards,

    Gilles Sérasset,

P.S. I'm the maintainer of DBnary and am not affiliated with DBpedia association.
